Public Teaching Schedule
Classes are based upon traditional Ashtanga Yoga as described by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois of Mysore, India. I emphasize proper alignment and bring attention to the breath (ujjayi pranayama), drishti (gaze) and bandha (energetic locks). This system cultivates strength and balance both in the body and the mind, and can be carefully modified to accommodate all levels and ages. Although the practice is very physically stimulating, I believe strongly in the cultivation of self awareness in order to quiet the mind and try to weave this principle into all of my classes.
